Chinese pole classes in Bristol

Chinese pole is a circus discipline .. somewhere between aerial, acrobatics and rock-climbing! We work on strengthening foundation climbs, positions, movement sequences and drops before progressing to more advanced tricks. Focus is on strengthening and protecting the body, with playful movement tasks lower on the pole once arms get tired! This is a gentle and supportive space to learn a new skill, it is a mixed level class and will adapt to the experience of the group. We all have different strengths and challenges!

Chinese Pole series

Chinese pole is a vertical pole coated in rubber which we use to climb, invert, slide, spin, drop, wind, wriggle and flag on! The poles are 5 – 6 metres tall.
